Travel Bank

Welcome to Virgin Australia Travel Bank.

Travel Bank is an account that allows you to hold your travel credits with Virgin Australia in one place. Every time you receive a travel credit from Virgin Australia, your travel credits will be combined into one Travel Bank up to a total of AU$4,999 (excluding corporate benefit and reward travel credits).

We will create a Travel Bank for you if we need to issue you with a travel credit. You cannot sign up for a Travel Bank.

The creation of your account will be confirmed by a Travel Bank Welcome email, outlining your account number and login details.

Velocity Frequent Flyer members who have received travel credits can use their Velocity Frequent Flyer username and password to access their account.

Your Virgin Australia travel credits can be used as payment towards eligible flights. Some exclusions apply, see the Travel Bank Terms and Conditions page.

You can redeem your Travel Bank credits either:

- Online at
- Via the Virgin Australia Business Portal if you are a corporate customer, by choosing Travel Bank as your form of payment
- Over the phone via the Guest Contact Centre.

Your travel credits are valid for eligible bookings for 12 months from the date of issue, unless a shorter expiry is notified to you. Travel does not need to be completed by the applicable travel credit expiry date.

Travel credits cannot be exchanged for cash and are non-transferrable to another person. However, you may use your travel credits to purchase an eligible flight for another person.
